Osu's fair day on 28th

Historically, there are many temples and shrines in the suburbs of Osu, and it is said that visiting them on Ennichi is especially beneficial. In order to familiarize visitors with the festivals, a variety of events are held every month at temples and shrines in Osu to coincide with the fair.

Manshoji Temple
The 28th of every month is the auspicious day of Fudo Myoo.
Free "vicarious rice cakes" are served from 6:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Daikoin Temple (Akamon Myooin Temple)
The 28th of every month is the feast day of Akamon Myoo. It is popularly known as "Myouon-san" by the locals.
The "Myoonsan Enka" is held in the evening, and more than a dozen stalls line up in front of the temple gate, creating a lively atmosphere.

Akamon 28 (Nippachi) Festival
On Akamon-dori, "28 Yose" will feature rakugo and other classical performing arts, as well as live performances by Osu-based idol groups and a cosplay parade.

Osu Kannon (Goddess of Mercy)
An antique market is held from early in the morning at 5:00 a.m. until around 4:00 p.m.
You may be able to find bargains in a wide variety of antiques, such as pottery, kimonos, and cute toys.
*Hours vary depending on exhibitors.

*The contents of each event and live performances are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances.
